SCSI Card?

Hey, im totally new when it comes to the SCSI market, so i have no clue whats going on.
I picked up a really cheap drive though, and figured i should get a card. Now i have no clue what kind of SCSI card i need to buy now.

The drive is a Seagate Cheetah 10 gig 10,000rpm ULTRA 2 SCSI WIDE LVD drive.

I dont know what half that stuff means. I dont know what kind of card i need to hook this up though. It appears to be an 80 pin drive.

Heres the specs.

Please someone help me, im so confused.

What operating system are you planning on putting on the drive? Most popular scsi cards have linux drivers, but not all.

I haven't used scsi in about 3 years so I am not up to speed on what is out there.

You'll need a SCSI card - I've had good luck with an Adaptec 2940u2w. Solid card and is widely supported. Others may suggest different cards. Looks like the going price for the 2940u2w on ebay is $70-$80. Here's one in the FOR SALE forum for $70 shipped, including the cables you'll need:

Seems like a fair price to me.

You'll need a 68 pin cable with a built in terminator. I'll sell you one of these at a very reasonable price if you buy a card without a cable.

If your drive is SCA-80 (ST-39102LC), you'll need a 68-80 LVD adapter - (Make sure you get one that is LVD!!). I've never used one of these, but read this recent thread:
