I'm looking for a scsi card. I need a good one. Whats the best/a good one,and what price range should i limit myself to?

The people around here are biased towards the Adaptec 29160. Hope you
got some cash. :)

That's weird because most of the posts I've seen on here regarding SCSI cards pretty much say that Adaptecs aren't all that great. Tekram cards seem to get a lot of positive comments.

Tekram. Ask real experts in the field. LSI logic chips are way way ahead of adaptcrap.

If all's you plan on running is Windows (anything) and you don't plan on going to 64 bit PCI and you want Adaptec, the 19160 is cheaper than the 29160 and works just as well (if not better in some cases).

If you are running XP, whatever you get make sure there are xp drivers first.

My Tekram 390U2W has no XP drivers and it crashes my XP quite often...How do I know?....if I unplug my SCSI card, XP is fine (most of the time)
