SCSI card that can handle OCed PCI bus well?

I'm looking for suggestions. My 75gxp just bit the dust on me, and I'm considering the SCSI option, but I need something that is going to be stable on up to a 155MHZ fsb. (more likely 150 and below) I think the makes the PCI bus around 41 MHz or something to that effect, too lazy to do the math, but if there is anyone with experience with overclocked SCSI cards, pleace post and share the info, I'm kinda new to scsi, so keep that in mind. 🙂 That said, fire away!

I see. Well, there goes that plan. 🙂 On that note, any recomendations for a good, fast IDE solution? I'm hoping IBM ships me the 60gxp version of the drive....

My 2940U2W runs rock stabile @ 140fsb. Can't say as much for Tekram I'd go with Adaptec anyday. I think 41mhz is about the limit I don't recall exactly at what point the divider goes back to 33.

I second that to Mikendi. I have a 2940U2W, and although I occasionally go to 150FSB for benchmark testing, I haven't experienced any problems. But for day-to-day use, I keep it at either 10.5x133 or 10x140FSB. When going SCSI, especially with high end equipment, it may not be worth that much to go high FSB and overclock the PCI bus.

OTOH, I'm looking forward to running 166MHz FSB when a chipset supports 1/5th PCI and 2/5th AGP. Of course, we'll need memory that will handle these frequencies! 😀

Thanks for all the info guys! I picked up a Tekram 395UW temporarily, but my drive is an 18GB Cheetah 10k so I'm wanting to go the adaptec or at least the u160 route, but i'm too poor for the likes of a 29160. About how much is the 19160, and what is Tekram's 160 card and how does it compare? I like my Tekram so far. (it's at 35MHz PCI rigt now I think)
