SCSI card questions..

I have an older Adaptec AHA-29402W SCSI card which is 80mb/sec. Would that be sufficient or would i lose out on performance if i used it for a dvd-rom and cd-rw drive? This particular card has 68 pin Ultra wide, 2 68 pin ultra2, and a 50 pin connector.

Do I need a 160mb/sec scsi card for peripherals such as dvd-rom and cd-rw's?

Thanks

I suppose you mean an Adaptec AHA-2940U2W. Actually, that's probably overkill for just a DVD-ROM and CDRW. So your card is more than enough for those devices.
