What's so great about those prices? They looked fairly average. I didn't take a thorough look, so let me know if I missed something.

114 for an ibm 10k u160 18Gb is pretty good, as is 197 for a quantum u160 36Gb

Be careful about using converters.. I've heard some rumors that cheap one might cause problems with using the drive.

I agree. Nothing special, you can find better deals on eBay.

IBM ULTRASTAR 36.4GB 10,000RPM ULTRA-160 SCSI WIDE 68 PIN LVD 5 YEAR FACTORY WARRANTY costs $314 but these are going for the low $200's in eBay.

It looks like they have some good deals on the SCA drives, but unless you've got a hot swap system, what's the point?

The Converters can be tricky, but I've got a 10K Cheetah 80 pin SCA drive running with the 68 pin converter with no problems whatsoever... I've never seen a decent one for $5 though, Look here for a good selection of quality adapters.

Best place to get cables and convertors is Cable Club. I've bought from them numerous times with no problems. I bought a 68-pin UScsi cable with 7 connectors and a few SCA to 68-pin convertors and they work beautifully. And their prices are great!!!

Have to throw my two cents in and agree......Cable Club is great! Good prices, reasonable shipping, fair CS. Always ships when they say it will, I live about 90 miles from them, so all ground shipments from them make it overnight.

the ibm website shows that model DPSS-T318350 as a 7.2k rpm drive, not 10k.

ibm makes excellent scsi drives, not quite as fast as the seagates, but they are dependable.

These prices are not HOT! Do you work for this company? Geezus. Even eBay sells these drives for less.

Didn't mean to threadcrap...but your prices are far from HOT.
