Scsi Advise?

Ok,Thursday I just got through building a Demo/Loaner box using a Asus Nforce 420 board, 1700 XP, 256 mb ram, yada yada. Just as soon as I was done with it, good customer calls (AKA, the one who freely mentions my name every time someone has computer problems)- his main system at work, a PII 266 on Win 95 has gone down, and they have to have it up NOW- big presentation on Monday! So I take them the "loaner", load their software, etc get them up and running (as much as possible). They are tickled to death!
I check on them today, they want to go ahead and buy that new system. Only thing I need to "finish the sale" is add a Fast Scsi-2 card to the new system for a UMAX Astra 2400s scanner.
Now, up to this point I've had 0 dealings with SCSI, and I'm a bit confused over what I need to get it to work. UMAX has no listing of PCI cards to use with that scanner, and I'd hate to have to order 3-4 different parts before I get one that'll work.
Any Suggestions?

Adaptec 2906 would be a good choice. Under $50. Make sure you get the correct cable if needed or proper adapter for their existing cable. (Don't know what connector the scanner has, there are different types but all will work with this card.)

Hypermicro.com is a good site for all things scsi.

I've looked over the specs for the 2906- it only has a db25 outer connector- I need one witha 50 HD
Any other ideas?

you say you need a 50 pin w/ an external connector? What OS will you be using in the system? I think I have an extra 50 pin card lieing around if you need it. PM me if you have any questions.

In a "Emily Litella" voice I'll say "Never mind"

Stopped by there today regarding a different issue, happened to mention that the scanner should have been shipped with a SCSI card in it. "Well, I've still got the box upstairs, do you want to take a look?" Figuring there was nothing to lose (fully expecting to be a ISA) I took a look- sure enough it was a PCI Scsi Card & cable. Installed them, bada bing bada boom, it's done!
Thanks for the help, gents!
