Scrolling ad on Mobile

Back again. Metro PCS.

Takes up 1/3 of screen.
Need to scroll it to top of screen before reading a thread.

Are you guys actually going to do anything about the state of adverts on this site and forums or are you just going to continue to ruin it?

We do take it seriously, and we are working on it. Most of these issues are caused by programmatic ads where we don't see the creative ahead of time.

I highlighted this add the other week. Things like this are just shocking.

It's been 13 days since the forum icon vanished and we can't even get that fixed.

I dropped a note to operations on the favicon. They will check it out.

We actually do block ad creative in response to complaints, but as I said above the main problems are where we don't see the creative ahead of time.
 
Yep. I don't mind ads, but this one is insanely hard to scroll on bigger mobile devices. Nice way to alienate us after site got bought. Reminds me what has became of Pulse after it got bought and destroyed by LinkedIn.

This is goddamn ridiculous. I can't even browse the forums on mobile because of this scrolling ad. It literally jumps up and covers the whole screen while I'm scrolling. My only choice is to leave the forum and then return to get rid of our so I can continue to read. It's s best buy ad right now. I've been reading these forums for 17 years and this is the first time I find myself actively going elsewhere to read rather than deal with this crap.

I just encountered this today and it's incredibly <expletive> annoying.

Cell phone provider Cricket Wireless on Nexus 5 using Android browser - if that helps.
 
Yes. Best buy ad is what I'm seeing come up from the bottom and it is annoying as hell.

Quick update on this - the ad guys are looking into this issue. Hopefully they can have the item removed.
