Scroll button on laptop not working in Windows 7

hey guys, just installed windows 7, few things not working at first.

got most of them working, such as microphone and other stuff, but i cant seem to get my scroll button to work, the one right under my trackpad. if i press scroll up on the button, nothing happens.

if i press scroll down on the button, it brings up that directional circle that scrolls the page depending on which way you move your mouse.

anyone have any luck in getting this to work? im kinda clueless here, thanks for any help in advance

Did you do a direct upgrade or clean install? If a clean install, you probably need to install the laptop's own drivers for that and other features.

yeah i did a clean install. this laptop doesn't have any windows 7 drivers out yet (that i know of) so i have been trying the vista drivers. i cant quite seem to find that would be for my scroll button. i tried the hotkey driver, but my hotkeys still dont work, and some other drivers say they are not supported for this operating system...

am i out of luck here? should i maybe go back to xp? 😛

Either that or get used to not having that scrolling tool until the nedded drivers come out. Why not just get a laptop mouse with a scroll wheel and turn the touchpad off?

well, i do have a wireless mini mouse with a scroll wheel for my laptop, but most of the time when i'm using my laptop, i dont usually have a surface to place it on, so a mouse isnt very practical.

hopefully fujitsu releases some drivers soon, or at all. it is almost 2 yrs old now 😛
