Scroched Earth

I've been searching everywhere for one of my favorite games called Scorched Earth. Any one know where I can find it or other old dos games? Any help would be useful. Thanks

That game was fun, I wish someone would make an updated version with more weapons/better graphics.

I always liked the "Funky Bomb" and all the little saying when the players fired or died.

Funky bomb was OK, but nothing like the sheer power of Death's Head.

Viper, the Funky Bomb was more for show than for sheer power. The Death's Head was definitely more potent.

Actually, I think one of the most powerful weapons in the game was the "Heavy Sandhog". It could take out a whole bunch of people on a hill, even through shields.

Hot Napalm wasn't half bad, either.

I always loved the glow of the death's head, I'd stick my nose up to the screen & let it completely fill my vision.

Hot napalm was a lot of fun, seeing that film over the top of someone's shield. Even better was the times when it would actually flow inside the shield.

God, I love that game. I'll have to download it when I get home.

By the way, did anyone ever play using the default money amount? It was not enough to buy all the cool weapons! I always gave myself tons of money so I could stock up on the MIRVs and Napalm etc.

One thing that would piss me off would be when you died (I think I killed myself on accident most times) and the remaining computer players would be "morons" who basically shot randomly. Even though the game would speed up, they could take a long-ass time to kill each other. :|

yeah, that game was cool. I programmed a version for the ti-82. you could link up to go head to head.

Worms Armeggedon is sorta like it, but with worms You used to be able to find the full version of scorched earth online for free...
