Ok, i just put together a system and now i know why it wasn't working. First, I put the mobo and everything in, no post or beeps. Took it out of the case, and it posted. But when i was about to finish the installation of w2k, it wouldn't boot again. Then I took out all the screws that held the mobo with the case leaving the mobo in the case, and it booted. Now, how many screws should i use and where...like the edges, middle, not around the cpu...etc... second, should i go for plastic ones or what, cuz the ones that came with the case, where metal?

There should be metal rings where you put the screws in the mobo. There should be 6 total all around the edges, if I remember right. 1 on each corner and one on the top and bottom edge near the middle of the mobo.

I use the nylon 'buttons' if you have the keyholes in the mobo mounting plate for 'em, then like 2 posts and screws to secure it. Doesn't really matter where they go, as long as they're mounting holes!
If there are no keyholes, just use enough posts and screws to keep the mobo from possibly touching the mounting plate. Or use a few nylon buttons with the head cut off flat
in places where there are no holes in the plate, just the mobo.
Hope this helps.
