anyone know of a case with screwless side pannels (similar to dell's kind of side pannels) where you just pull a spring loaded thing and the pannel comes off
I don't know spring loaded pannels on the Dell's. For my Black Antec case SLK3000B it has thumb screws on the side panel, but it also has like plastic things to snap the case in. Just using the plastic snap in things secures the side panel very well.
This case has tabs in the rear that you depress to release the side panel and slide it rearward an inch or so before pulling it off. The tabs can be seen somewhat in the picture on the page I linked to.
Btw, I have that case.
Most Antecs have latches and you can use screws too if you need - the screws are usually put in there for shipping purposes. My Silverstone Berserker (and most Silverstones) has latches (slide type) and screws on BOTH sides. Most Aspire cases have latches. Some Enermax too - in fact, there are tons of cases with latches... (You been holing up in a cave for the last few years or so, SB? ).
for when i dont feel like reaching behind my case and finding the hole for a thumbscrew after ive set it back in the relatively confined space its in
and i didnt say tabs were "too much work"
The Antec cases are nice, has a latch like some car doors. And the side fan in the window snaps in so you can just unsnap the fan from the window instead of having to unplug it when you remove the side.
