Shadow, something is wrong with you link - It takes me to a page at www.angelfire.com but I get the error message

"Err-or! Er-ROR - 404! It only takes one wrong letter to hold back this page, not a nation of millions. Actually, we couldn't find the page you requested. Please check the URL."

You're not trying to leave me with a Trojan or worm or something are you???

JUST KIDDING !!!!!!

stupid angelfire

WOW dear lord, anyone know another free hoster that lets me host any kind of file that isnt this fvcking stupid

Angelfire does not allow direct linking
from offsite, non-Angelfire pages,
to files hosted on Angelfire.

This practice of 'remote linking' reduces
our ability to serve out the homepages
of our members quickly and efficiently.

edit again: my friend is gonna host it for me, will change the link soon
edit x3: link changed

Your link worked perfectly for me. But - the music was so horrible I immediately zapped out. Sheesh! No melody - no tune - just a lot of rhythmic noise - sort of acid rap w/o words. :)

Aside from that - I found nothing wrong with it.

Nero has always worked flawlessy for me ripping anything.

Windows Media Player version 9.x sucks though. I wouldn't use it if it were the last option available. I am not familiar with WMP v 10.x I actually have an older 6.xx version of WMP installed which I occasionally use; less is more in this case.

nero had the same results, even on a freshly burned CD; i use WMP 10.0
could it possibly be an MP3 codec problem? if so, where would i get an upgrade

That's the problem, your PC is trying to tell you something :p

Seriously, I'd try EAC to rip to wav, and another program (I prefer dBpoweramp) to convert to the format of your choosing. If that doesn't work there are a few other possibilities:

- Your drive needs a firmware update - have you gotten this problem ripping with both drives or only one?

- You at some point put a CD with auto-run copy protection on it into your PC and didn't stop the program from running (hold shift while putting in a cd with autorun to keep it from doing so, or turn off autorun). IIRC at some point the RIAA did this with some CDs, and while a program of this nature should close when the CD is taken out of the drive, and shouldn't set itself up to run at startup, I wouldn't put anything past the RIAA. People are stealing the money they stole from artists and they'll do anything to stop it.
