Screwed up computer at work

😱 I really need the help of someone who knows windows NT. I installed a exteriour zip drive (parallel port) and the stupid thing renamed my harddrive. I got online with their tech support on live chat and finally got the da-- drive out, but I would really like to use the zip drive. Everytime I boot up, it start looking for the start up (?) files. Is there anyway I can unscrew this mess I made? Oh yeah, I didn't save my register first. I know about the stupid part. I did get my hd back to drive d, but i had to completely remove the zip drive.

😱 y😱 my boss knows what i did, but thinks i fixed everything. I didn't and really don't want him to know. Please help!!!

doesn't the iomega zip software let you choose what drive letter for it to use? just make it use a different letter than d and use disk management to set your hard drives letters.

You should be able to change the drive letters. Go to the control panel, administrative tools, computer management, storage, disk management (local). Right click on the drives in the bottom section and you can change letters in there.
