SCREWED UP COLOURS IN WIN 2K PRO???

Hey guys, my first post in a while since I decided NOT to upgrade my PC. Anyway I have win 2k pro on a p2 400, asus p299, 256mb pc 133 sdram, etc. I also have a voodoo 3 2000 AGP. About 4 weeks ago I booted my PC up and I realized all the colours were screwed, this same problem has happened once before. All my icons have become lighter or discoloured. My folder coolour is now a somewhat dark brown (rather than the famliar yellowish). My program files icons are much lighter than they used to be. I don't think I did anything to my PC to cause this. I have tried re-installing DX8, my voodoo 3 2000 agp drivers, colour settings, etc. What can I do to fix this dis-colouration? It is annoiing! THX GUYS.

Is your display set to 16bit or better?

yep, I am not sure why it just changed? I dont think I touched anything.

Maybe your monitor is fuxored.
