Screwball mobo temps

The hardware:

Thermaltake Typhoon case, 2 120mm fans, 1 80mm fan
XP 90 CPU with Sunon fan
3Ghz Northwood
Asus P4P800 mobo

Under a full load, I was getting CPU and mobo temps of around 116. So I decided to reverse the heat sink fan. It was blowing away from the heat sink. I turned it around to blow on the heat sink. The result?

113F CPU, 120F mobo. Both in Asus Probe and Asus BIOS.

WTF??? Mobo temp went UP?

Reversed the fan again, so it's blowing away from the heat sink like before. CPU 116F, mobo 107F, under a full load.
