i was having some trouble with windows dropping my wireless connection and not picking it up again until i rebooted. so i noticed there was an "updated" driver for the built-in wireless in my notebook. installed it, rebooted: literally 1/2 to 1/3 of my previous signal strengh! DIE MICROSOFT DIE!

Microsoft didn't write that driver! Go bitch at the company that makes your network card.
