Cable bill was running ~$65 per month. Got the lastest one today and it is $102.31.

Turns out that the package I signed up for was only good for 6 months. Thanks for telling me that you damn CSR.:disgust:

Nope. Told them that as soon as I have another internet provider they are as good as gone.

The woman was a complete bitch. Of course, my only other option for TV is satellite since Insight is the only available options here.

 
Dang that sucks minendo. My gf signed up about a year ago and we got offered this deal where Showtime was only a few bucks more each month. The deal ended and now we pay a pretty hefty lump sum for Showtime. When my gf called to cancel it and put it to just the "basic" digital cable, the CSR told my gf that we would end up paying even more than we are paying now due to all these BS fees.

One problem is that minendo also has cable internet through insight.

Exactly. DSL is cheaper, but slower. Right now I get over 3mbps whereas DSL would put me at 1.5mbps.

The biggest problem with getting a dish is the contract. I don't want to sign a year contract and then move in 4 months.

 
I feel your pain. My cable bill is always right around $100 since I got cable internet. DSL was actually more expensive for me than cable. I spent $45/mo on DSL and now only spend $35/mo on cable.
 
Our cable bill is along the lines of $120.00 but that's because my girlfriend's parents subscribe to the Filipino Channel... an additional like $20.00 I think.
