Screw Television

i don't watch much except for the news. hockey is coming back, and sundays = football. then again, there is no cable in our subdivision yet and i don't have a tv in the computer room / office. voted #3
 
i think the news channels need to go. Its not news anymore, its opinion and people screaming at each other and pure speculation. But hey, it gets audiences.

Now, sci fi shows are great because we know they are going to be corny to begin with and are always a little fun.
 
I watch less TV every year. There isn't anything good on anymore. There are a few good shows, but the majority of it is just garbage.
 
i keep cable for only a couple of reasons:

the kids: no i dont leave the tv on all afternoon as their babysitter, but some of its education or fun for them, and i think its ok in moderation as long as we do other things, and we do.

me: food tv. i havent watched as much as i used to, but if i want to relax i like a fair amount of the programming enough to sit back and learn soemthing, i watch comedy central sometimes too, and occassionally discovery/history/tlc.

i dont watch tv like i used to at all, i used to watch a couple hours a day at the very least, now its more like...an hour at most unless ive got something in from netflix.
 
I've only watched a couple tv shows in the past month. I'm too busy with AT to care.

Educational tv is a good thing though 😀
 
I somehow managed to turn the TV on and watch Lost today... Normally it never comes on when my girlfriend isn't around.
 
I don't have any problem with watching tv for entertainment at night/primetime. I'm on the computer/Internet all friggin day as it is.

And oh yeah, HOCKEY'S BACK BABY.
