I'm dead serious. Every lens I've sold, I sold at about 80-90% of purchase price within 1-2 years of ownership. Talk about a better place to invest cash compared to the stock market.

If Canon released a 35 1.4L MkII tomorrow, I think I'd buy it for this reason alone.
 
I don't think the 34 1.4L Mk2 would be very good investment wise. I think things that aren't going to have an update any time soon, like the 70-200 2.8 IS
 
Haha, I think I've sold a couple lenses for more than what I paid for them.

Doesn't make up for the hit I've taken on everything else dropping in value though 🙁
