Screw over ebay?

I gave this some thought the other day...maybe a few of you could give me some insight....
What would stop someone from posting an item for say $1 on ebay....and then setting the shipping charge at $500-??? dollars. That way he doesnt have to pay ebay much of anything for using their site.
The only bad thing about this is if a buyer could claim that shipping is outrageous and then the seller would be forced to reduce the shipping charge,.
I don't see how this could be a factor if the seller states in his listing that the BUYER HAS TO BE AWARE OF THE ELEVATED SHIPPING CHARGES. And even if the buyer backs out he will only be losing a tiny fraction of what hes selling.

actually... i saw Xboxes going for that exact price... 1$ bid, 299$ shipping. It was a Dutch auction, guy had like 50 of 'em. Price basically started at 300$. I emailed his ass about it, told him it was a breach of ebay's rules, he told me to screw off. I emailed ebay about it. Didnt bother to check into it further.
