The people in my state (mississippi) elected this guy and this is what my family gets from him being elected. He pushed thru legislation that caused major cutbacks in education and now, my mom gets a letter in the mail (school teacher) saying that her contract is not going to get renewed :| , allot of teachers at my school campaigned for this guy and this is how he repays teachers. Gosh, i wish i could have been 18 so i could have voted against this guy

can you provide some links to the legislation you speak of? Most School funding is based on local property taxes. some funding comes from the state revenues.

hmmmm..teacher's unions are traditionally devoutlly Democrat, not Republican.

please comment on this article: linky this article indicates that the final budget won't be signed by Barbour until May, and that "local taxes" will have to rise to cover state cutbacks...
