screw apple. I'm at my wits end

I purchased an iPod on the internet on april 27th. Recieved it shortly after, there was a sync problem where the iPod would not be recognised by the computer, and I tried on multiple computers.

so I sent it in, and they sent it back saying it wasn't broken. I sent it in a second time, and they fixed it now.

so i'm leaving thursday to be gone all summer. This is why I wanted my ipod. Last friday (the 16th) I got my iPod back, with a whole NEW problem. Only half the screen was working, the other half was green. I called them again, and the customer servide guy insured me I would have it back in 7 days.

well its been 7 days, and they status isn't even in the diagnosis stage yet. I sent the package off over 5 days ago, and its overnight shipping. words cannot describe how pissed I am right now.

this was kept extremely brief, to keep me from bashing apple to much. If apple can't get me my ipod by wedsday I'm pretty much screwed, but I think I have full rights to complain. This is comlete bullshit.

Why did you send it to Apple if it was less than 30 days? Why didn't you just return it or exchange it with the vendor you bought it at?

because I bought it off the internet. I live in a really small town, there is only one place to buy iPods and they overcharge 75$

there is no need to get that mad at apple.maybe there is something wrong with your computers.do you have itunes, do you the latest updates for your ipod?

In retrospect, that $75 would have been worth it, hmm?

My friend needed a new USB cable for his iPod, so we went to the apple store. I almost fainted when he said "Oh sweet, it's only $25 now!"

Overpriced pieces of trend

And a USB cable for any normal device is going to run you $15-$35 at BestBuy or CompUSA. What's your point?

It's always been $19.

how would his computer make the screen green?

Have you tried google? Not trying to sound like an a$$ but there are many people out there with this problem and it seems to be USB driver related (firewire owns usb). Also, I sent my ipod in for repair because the white was coming apart from the chrome backing (because i dropped it) I got it back in exactly 7 business days after apple recieved it (total of 8 business days from the time it left my house).

you bought it off the internet... that still doesn't explain why you didn't just return it to the vendor and get a new one. not that I'm saying the ipods are perfect, but more curious as to why you didn't try that first.
