Screenshot comes up blank.

There is a video of a big league game on a website. My buddy is on it. I use gimp to acquire a screenshot and the part of the screen where the movie is supposed to be is transparent. How do I grab it? Prnt Scr doesn't work either same thing. The screen is blank.

You can try pausing it before capture, but genereally you can't capture video from print screen.

If you are viewing it with window media player, somewhere in the option you have to turn off hardware acceleration.
Not sure with your version of windows media player, but 6.4 is view > option > playback > hardware acceleration > none.
