I don't know why this isnt workign but I think I remember it used to.

I am watchign a very funny clip called Coach Jules, aka Puck Fiction and I want to get a screen grab of one part. Now I start printscreen, I tired other programs but I can't capture the video!

I get the player and desktop but the actual video image is gone and is nothing but a black spuare. No video image in the screenshot.

Help me!

2 solutions:

turn off overlay/hardware acceleration in the player

or

open the video in the player and pause (but don't close). open the video again in another instance of the player and do your screenshot from there

Happens to me all the time because I forget how to properly take a screen shot using PowerDVD or WinDVD when watching movies.

There is usually a hot-key built in to the program (like WinDVD or PowerDVD) that takes the screen shot. I think it's C for both, although I know you can pause the film, right-click, and explore the menu to find the screenshot option.
