Just ranting. I'm tuning in right now for the first time since the latest firing. God it's boring and the hosts suck!

Yeah. I really thought the show and the channel was really picking up. Then G4 bought them and now it's an awful joke network again.

I use the goatse.cx screen saver, on one will touch my computer now. Especially after that one time I got a melted chocolate bar all over the keyboard.

I want to be a cool script kidday like Kevin. I love watching him run nmap and nessus and his site is the r0x0rs omg lolz he just took a picture of a BSD BOOK!!!!! oh noes!111

Yeah they were fugging idiots for letting Patrick and Leo go for these little sh!tstains that run it now. I'm sorry, but they had waayyyy better personalities. With Kevin its like "omg look what I read from hacking exposed...pheer!" the whole way through.

Leo and Patrick were accessible for my father who has an interest in computers (programmed years ago) but doesn't give two sh!ts about blogger emos like Kevin and fans.

Yeah man, ever since it became G4TV, it has sucked MAJOR ass! Leo and Patrick were the best. Since the fvcking moronic CEO (or whoever made the decision to axe Leo and Patrick) decided to fire them, I'll pay them back by not watching that whole freakin' station. TechTV was a pretty kick ass station, with The ScreenSavers, Call For Help, XPlay and Fresh Gear. Now G4TV just has sh!t! HORRIBLE channel now. HORRIBLE! Most all the shows hosts have been replaced with FREAKIN' MORON! Just awful.

I don't mean to say that Leo and Patrick were all that great for some of us (most of their stuff was a rehash from cnn.com/tech, wired, news.com.com.com and slashdot amongst other sources) but they still made the information accessible and easy for viewers to understand. Whereas the newer hosts just want to do "omg0vercloked" shows where they "tweak" something. Its useless to the old (and older) viewers who watched Leo and Pat.

My brother insists on watching G4.

I considered withholding his R9600XT (birthday present) until he changed that habit.

Yea the channel really sucks big time now, after they moved to LA. I haven't watched it for about 6-7 months after switching cable companies. I watched for about 15 mins at my parent's house, and boy these new hosts are bad. So sad, I loved to tune into the show back in college. G4 really messed things up...

Same here. Used to watch a lot of TechTV shows, in fact. Haven't turned it on since it became G4.

No, I love G4TechTV. I eagerly anticipate watching their "all new" video game review shows that review and discuss games two or three months old. The gripping suspense of watching an episode of Pulse for fifth time cannot be matched. And, frankly, who could ever get enough Tommy Tallarico?

Are cable channel ratings public? I wonder how they are doing, obviously the ratings are not G4 + TechTv (assuming all you people really did stop watching it) but I am wondering if G4 got a % bump in ratings.... which was all Comcast really wanted.

One medium channel is better than 2 lower rated hard to pick up (buy local cable companies, packages) channels

guess I'm glad that I don't get G4/TechTV at home...I also used to watch TSS pretty consistently, and missed it after moving.

How about Fresh Gear, is that still around?

I've never seen it on. But, like I said, you can watch Tommy Tallarico on no less than four different shows. He's this brash overly-masculine guy who I'm sure appeals to 12 year old shrimpy males who need a "cool" video-game-playing role model to worship. Or you can watch two 35 year old professional hosts unemotionally read video game reviews on X-play....one of them has boobs, though, so, you see, hot girls really do play video games. And if you didn't get that point, it's further hammered home by the sensationally bland G4TV where two "hip" chicks discuss "gaming". It's like a morning radio how where they take impromptu calls and magically have the answer for any game on any platform--the impression is that they have been gaming for 18 hours a day for the past decade.

Freaking A, I think I just watch it now as almost like a horrric parody of itself. Like The Lone Gunman series. :(

Yeah, I just checked it out for morbid curiousity, and they REALLY dumbed down the show after Pat and Leo left. It looks like the "target market" of the whole network are 14 year old gamers now :(
