Why does my CPU temp go up when the screensaver comes on in windows xp pro????????????
Goes so high it locks system up!!
The only screensaver that does not send temp up is the one with the black screen and the words windows xp pro on it!!!!!!:|
 
The CPU does work to move, say, 3d text around the screen, just like a 3d game. Anything more than simple scrolling text will make the cpu work, and as a result get warmer.
