screensaver ??

I have windows xp pro and every time the screen saver comes on the computer temp goes up by about 10c. If i use the black screensaver that has "windows xp pro" bouncing around the screen the temp only rises by about 1c. why is this so and how do i fix as i am sick of this screensaver??
