Screensaver issue in Windows XP

Hi All,

I have an odd problem with Windows XP SP2. I set my screensaver to kick in after 10 minutes. The screensaver seems to work after a reboot, and then a few times after you bring the computer out of idle. Then after that it seems to stop kicking in. I don't know if its the screensaver I'm using, or maybe something is running in the background to make it not idle. Anyone have any ideas what might be causing this?

Incase its needed here is my system specs:
AMD Athlon64 3500+ (90nm)
Zalman 7000B AlCu
DFI LanParty UT nF4 Ultra-D
Corsair XMS 1GB(512MBx2) DDR PC-3200
BFG 6800GT OC 256MB PCI-e
PC Power & Cooling 510W Express
Seagate 7200 200gb SATA
SB Audigy

Thanks for any help!
Terry

Funny, I have the same problem. Usually when a Winamp window is open, even though the movie is not playing. I have a 1.4Ghz T-bird OCed to about 1.65

On my screen, nothing is open. No applications running. Except of course system processes, but usually nothing is running. Maybe a bit torrent client on occasion, or a webpage is open, but beyond that.

This one has me a bit confused.

Had that happen once; turned out to be a problem with the wheel button on the mouse. The switch thats built into the wheel had a bad return spring and was staying down
( closed) at all times. Anouther cheap mouse fixed it fine.
