screen wont light up

my emachine laptop (s/n lxn5021710132e29e1601) screen doesnt light up . you can barely see the picture on screen . it boots up the fan is running but no pic . it worked all weekend . have tried remove battery, hold down power button a minute, plug power supply in doesnt work . any idea wat could be the problem

What about post ? Right when you boot up do you see the AMD thingie and your cpu and what not ?

This is completely the wrong sub-forum, but to answer your question, the inverter has died and needs replacing.

inverter for the LCD panel, if you can faintly see it, then thats the reason
