Screen Size Screwy After Res Change

I have a Radeon 9800np video card with Omega Drivers based off of Cat 3.5 Drivers

With these utility also comes a refresh force program. So i have forced highest refresh rates for each resolution. However, when i switch resolutions (no matter if it is up or down), the screen size messes up. When i go down, it becomes large than the screen area, and when i increase res, the desktop becomes smaller than the screen area.

I have shut off and restored old settings of res and after manually setting each refresh rate it still causes problems.

I have a 19" Hitachi SuperScan Elite 751 Monitor that i know can support 1600x1200.

I just got this computer and video card and in games such as CS and Tribes 2 it messes up the same way as it does in Windows.

How do i fix this problem?

THANKS

Your monitor likely will "remember" your size & geometry settings for each resolution, so if you're running at different resolutions just use the monitor controls once for each.

Also, even slighty different refresh rates like 72 vs. 75 will affect screen size so you can try going slightly down, or up if it's within the monitor specs for that resolution. Remember that the max. refresh rate goes down as resolution increases, so don't "overclock" your monitor.

Yeah i have it set at max of monitor making sure not to "overclock it" - brilliant.

Yeah, i think i will have to do it manually because thats the only way it seems to work.

Why didn't i have this problem when i had my old comp which had a geforce 2 GTS hooked up to this monitor?

Anyway, THANKS
