Screen size and Icon size; Always Connected?

So here's the deal, my wife likes larger icons that normally come with a lower resolution. I prefer the higher resolution, and could care less about the icon size. I want to set up my xp system to run in 1600x1200 but those icons are "too small" for my wife. So, is it possible to have the higher res with larger icons?

icons have a fixed pixel size, so if you use a higher resolution, you cover less real space with the same number of pixels.

that said, you can go to display properties->apperance->effects and turn on large icons

properties -> appearance -> advanced

select "icon" and you can change the size to whatever you want
