I noticed a "snapshot" button in VLC and I have no idea what it does because when I try to use it, it does nothing. I had great difficulty in getting a snapshot in VLC player (I had to disable direct draw hardware acceleration) which caused very choppy playback. I managed to get a screen shot but I'd prefer to NOT do it this way agian, any idea how I can get a screen cap? The Help file isn't very helpful.

Yes, but if you read the post carefully (hopefully its in there), I mentioned that I was able to get a screen shot but it was only via windows print screen and I had to disable Direct Draw Hardware acceleration which is a problem because it made playback extremely choppy...

- Ok, first you have to set where you want it to be saved: preferences -> video
- Second, you have to open up VLC twice for some reason. Double click the video and it should open and start playing. Pause it. Then open it again and use this one to take your snapshots.

Lol, I feel like a douche.. Although this wasn't specified in the help menu... How do you take snapshots with out right clicking? "Print Screen"?
