Screen shakes!?!

Yeah, that's right, my monitor screen actually shakes or vibrates once in a while. It's been happening for I think the last week or so. At first I thought that it's just my eyes after a long day of work. But upon closer examination, it IS my screen. Now I don't know if it's the video card or what but the effect is sort of like this: Shaking effect. Of course its not as bad as the link above (actually it only vibrates horizontall), but still noticeable and annoying. What could possibly be the problem?

Here's my specs:

P4 3.0GHz (800FSB)
ASUS P4P800 DELUXE
512mb DDR400 PC3200
120G S-ATA Seagate Barracuda
ATI AIW RADEON 9800 PRO
Creative SB Live! 5.1
19" ViewSonic P95f+

Move your monitor to the center of the room, away from walls/ceiling/floor, and I bet you'll see the shaking go away. We have a few Viewsonic 19"ers at work that are sensitive to electical wiring in the walls.

Mine was shaking too, and it took me forever to figure out what it was. Do you have a cell phone and do you leave it near the monitor?About every 10 to 15 minutes it will send out a signal to check in with the tower and when it does the screen will shake quite a bit. If you get an incoming call with the cellphone sitting on top of or just under the monitor it looks like the monitor is degaussing. Man it really tripped me out the first time it happened, I thought my monitor was dying.

Yep my cellphone does that to my screen every now and then.

I've also seen fluorescent lights have the same effect on CRTs. The two would have to be fairly close (say, within a foot or so, depending on the sizes).

Thanks for the good suggestions guys. I don't know why I didn't think of this before but when the lamp in my room started flickering, I got a power bar soon afterwards because I thought that power fluctuations might mess my system up. And since THEN, it's been acting this way. So it could actually be the power bar itself! Kinda beats the purpose doesn't it. And no, except this power bar I haven't installed anything new. Anyone had a similar experience with a power bar?

BTW, I have posted this in the video forum too because I thought, initially, that it was my video card.

You sure its just not the hz being at 60-70? or something. I know my screen shakes quite a bit at 60hz but its perfect at 85hz.
