SCREEN SAVER PASSWORD doesn't work anymore...strange error

when I try to set the password for my screen saver password I get a small box with a red X but it doesn't say anything inside the box.I cannot change the password at all..so there is no password protection..any idea how to fix this?

Are you sure it's a normal windows screensave? because I get the feeling that you downloaded it from somewhere and that the programmers of the screensaver made some mistakes messing up your PC right now. If so.. trow the screensaver away.

Don't use the screensaver password.

If this is your only option, switch to Win2K.
