Screen Resolving Error

The Problem:Screen is cutting off about .5" on the right and a sliver up top. I've encountered this problem before. Can't remember how I fixed it. It appears that the driver is not scaling the signal properly. It's really annoying because I can't see the scroll bar or clock the close button on the top right.

How it happened:I downloaded the beta drivers (169.xx) and did the video optimization/calibration within the driver tools. Big mistake. Not only did it not calibrate the signal properly but it caused this to happen.

What it's not:My monitor is fine because it was working before hand and it just got back from the manufacturer.

How cool you will be if you fix this for me: Very.

uninstall all parts associated with the beta driver, run CCleaner and have the cleaner and registry option run through multiple times till no errors are found on each, reboot, and install the latest non beta drivers.

I did it. All of it. It didn't work. But that is a nice little program. What next?

*EDIT*

I noticed that if I go into the driver setting "Move CRT Position" I can do exactly that as if I'm using a CRT, but this is an LCD. This is how I know that the error is somewhere in the driver or system outputting the signal.

Please Help.

are you hooked into the dvi or the vga plug? are you using an adapter to connect the monitor to the card?

Because of the monitor, I am forced to use VGA. It's a long story as to why. It was working perfectly fine for a couple of months. Maybe I need to do a custom resolution? Except I don't know how to set that up.

it thinks it's a crt since you are using a VGA port, and not a DVI port. that's why it see's it as a crt and not a lcd. you've got it working and the issue is solved.
