Screen recording software (and large file handling)

I need to capture a screen recording I'm doing with a remote user that will want to be done in one shot of an estimated two hours in length. I've seen relatively short recordings go into the hundreds of megabytes and get compressed when done. That makes me wonder if there's an app that can shrink/compress on the fly rather than record and compress later. Open to advice on how best to approach this given that starting and stopping is not an option.

Windows Media Encoder and Expression Encoder can both screen capture and compress on-the-fly. What are you using to do the remote session? Many remote-help programs have the ability built-in.
