Screen Protectors for iPhone

I seem to go thru a screen protector once a month. All cheapies and the last one's I got from Monoprice. The problem is that they'll come loose at an edge, wear down fast and always have a bubble that I can't remove (after using a squeegee and/or wetting the screen before installing).

Anybody have good experience with a particular brand? Do the expensive one's not have these problems that I've experienced?

Have you tried going naked? I've had my iPhone since fall 07 and never used a protector or case and the screen has not a scratch on it ( PLENTY of abuse 🙁 ).

i hear power support is good. personally the ones i have received with my cases have been great and never scratch/come loose.

I read an iLounge review before going with FullBodyFilms. Their anti-glare screen protector is excellent and the back-side skin is good. The main problem with the conforming skin is it's impossible to get the corners perfect due to curvature. Besides the corners, it seals great after careful application. Their CS sucks, it's probably a guy in his garage; but the product is highly recommended. In that review, BodyGuardz was well regarded too.

Having some experience with the top-selling Zagg skins, I would not recommend them. They are extremely difficult to apply compared to most other flat screen protectors, which sounds like the problem you've faced.

Best I've ever used - Power Support Crystal Film. They sell it at the Apple Store. It's very expensive - $14.99 for a 2-pack. My wife likes the matte (shine reduction), but I prefer the glossy (it looks invisible).

Best. Film. Ever. I kid you not. I've been through tons. This is hands-down the best. It goes on SO easy (usually a fight with most) and looks great for a long time.

I'll agree to both of the above. I've had the glossy version on my iphone for going on 2 years now. I forget it's actually on there, and it has never been close to coming off.

Thanks for the suggestions folks. I'll check them out.

And speg, I hate having to be careful with my iphone and with a case and screen protector, I don't worry about sticking it in my pants/jacket pocket causing a scratch b/c I have something already in the pocket.

Another vote for power support. Screen goes on very easily and in the 5 months Ive had it on the phone, it still looks like I put it on yesterday.

Add another vote for the PS crystal film. I used to use the PS anti-glare film. Its advantages were obviously the anti-glare and it hid fingerprints well, but it wasn't as pretty and it seemed like the sensitivity wasn't as good. Eventually, I thought about going without a screen protector but was convinced to use the crystal film. No regrets. It looks and feels just like bare glass. It doesn't hide fingerprints, but they wipe off pretty easy.

I don't use a screen protector on my 3gs. I just drop it I. My pocket. Never had an issue. I use a incase case to protect the body. It still looks brand new.

I've got Power Support Crystal and am very happy with it. Still looks great after months of abuse, sans for the few scratches when it got scuffed on some pebbles during a rock climbing outing. But I had Zagg products on my Blackberry and was very impressed with their stuff. It's still on my old BB Pearl after 2 years!
