is there any way to get a screen print of a screen when in the bios? i need to write a manual which involves going into the bios to do some stuff but it would be easier if i could get a screen shot of it instead of telling the people where to look. any ideas?

I don't think so since you need windows for the printer driver to load.

If you have a vid card w/ TV out, (coaxial) you could always try plugging in into the VCR, then into the TV.
Put a tape in and start recording.
Boot up and go to that bios setting.
Then you'd have to reverse it and rip the tape. Then you could capture a screen from the tape.
I have no idea if the text would still be legible, I think it probably would be.

But that's a lot of effort.

Tried looking in the back of your mobo manual?

If you hit the "Prt Scr" button, it will actually send the screen of the BIOS to your printer. After you have it printed out, you can simply scan it back as a digital image. If, on the other hand, you know how to make the "Prt Scr" button dump the data to a file instead of the printer, then you're good to go as well. I highly doubt that's possible though, as the BIOS is probably needed for higher functions.

Most if not all modern BIOS support USB devices.
