Hey, I'm planning on modifying my Antec Lanboy, and
I was going to try cutting out a pretty good sized oval
at the top of the case. I would like to put some of that
metalic mesh so heat could vent out through the top.

Any idea where I might be able to get something like
this?

Have you thought about dust?

I will be a huge problem. - You should just make a top blowhole with a fan or if you make it an intake put a fan filter on it.

Well I was thinking about doing that also
but not sure yet. I guess an outtake would
be the best. Not a big fan of dust.

Your LanBoy is not a stong case and cutting a large hole in the top is not a good idea.

Modders mesh can be found at CrazyPC.com or Performance-PCs.com. Plus I have a large
sheet of it. How much do you want :p.

Well I guess none if the case isnt strong enough.

You think its strong enough for an outtake fan on top?

Also, whats the best tool to use for putting a 120mm fan
on the side panel?

For me...A 120mm to blow on the VGA would be overkill.

I'm not fond of side panel fans but if one was to be installed, a 92x25@40cfm would be
considered. Aim it right at the VGA. A decent 92x25@40cfm is not a loud fan.

But how should I cut the hole?
Would a holesaw be ok to cut
on the siding?

Google is your friend here. There are many tutorials on-line about cutting blow holes
and side panel holes in acrylic, steel or aluminum.

I want one blowing on my video card.

Your video card isn't on the top of your case. To blow cool air on it you'd want a side panel fan. Top blowholes increases airflow. Do you have a Lanboy or SUPER Lanboy case? If the newer Super version, you already have front/rear 120mm fans. Just cut out the grills on the case and remove the plastic "waffle" grill up front to magically increase airflow (you can put finger guards front/rear if you want). If you have the original Lanboy with the 80mm rear fan, then... either drill out the spot for a 92mm fan or wait for the Super Lanboy to be on sale again at CompUSA for about $40 AR.

I'm looking at my Super LANboy and thinking... where the heck can a 120mm blowhole fan fit? Can't even squeeze an 80mm fan up there between the CDROM and PSU, unless you lower the CDROM which then may interfere with motherboard, and if it doesn't will still block the air to the blowhole.
