Screen keeps shutting off

I have a Sapphire 4870x2 connected to a Gigabyte P43 mobo and V7 D24W33 LCD monitor with a DVI-HDMI cable. My screen will shut off between 1-30min of use, and won't come back on. I used to have my router, printer and speakers attached to the same powerstrip as my monitor and computer, so I unplugged everything except the monitor and computer, and it seemed to help a lot (I was able to install XP without any interruption). Spending a few minutes at the desktop though made my screen turn off again.

My PSU is a Crosair 650TX (recommended in the sticky'ed thread), and my processsor (E8400) is being cooled by an Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro. When I check its temp in the BIOS it says 30C. I have a 6 pin and 6-2 pin connector plugged into the 4870x2.

I'd greatly appreciate any help.

Also I should mention that I use the same monitor for my 360 (VGA) and PS3 (HDMI) and the monitor works fine.

Did a quick search, and it appears this issue is somewhat common for 4800-series cards running on Intel chipsets. Try going into the BIOS and disabling EIST...you're not going to save much power on the e8400 anyway, so give it a shot.
