From past experience with HP model numbers, I would expect the two to be almost identical and using the same motherboard, etc., and differing only in the exact feature set of each model, such as the amount of RAM, the size of the HD or the speed of the CPU.
Two suggestions:
1. Search HP's section on replacement parts for both models. You may find they both use the same part number.
2. If you can find it on HP's site, download the service manual for both models. They may provide the same document for both models.
Then, read the section on replacing the screen. It will include instructions and diagrams on disassembling the machine to replace the screen. That should tell you if it uses the same fit and connections.
3. Search Google for each model number and key words like "display" and "replace." Whether or not you end up buying one, if you find enough providers who sell the same part number for both models, you'll know that it's the same screen.
Hope that helps.
