Screen-grabs from VCD/MPG movies

Well, dang.

Try as I might, I just can't figure out how to make a screen-grab from a VCD movie. None of the usual methods work (Print/Scrn key, official screen-grabber), and what's most puzzling is why the two main players, WinDVD and PowerDVD, don't have a "Save Image" feature. I can only figure it has something to do with copyright laws. It's just too obvious to overlook.

Worse, I can't get them to load into Premiere v6, nor v5.1c w/MPEG4 codec installed. Both load older MPEG4s just fine, but not the VCD variety.

For what it's worth, I have an ATI 128, which may be screwing things up. I've also tried running them through a few conversion programs, like VCD_Gear ("MPEG --> MPEG"), but no luck.

Any thoughts on this little puzzler?

Ah, gotcha. I had seen the little camera gadget (and tool tip), but nothing had happened when I clicked on it. I see now it writes a file to a pre-specified folder. Thanks!

Now the question is, how do I get them to load into Premiere, or similar video editing studio?
