HI all,

Very strange problem.

My PC will just go blank, i get a black screen and my monitor will display an orange led (same light it shows when going to sleep)

The system log has reported: The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x00000116 (0xfffffa80115a2010, 0xfffff8801003d970, 0xffffffffc000009a, 0x0000000000000004). A dump was saved in: C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: 072711-17175-01.

Which points to the GPU. I've rolled back to a previous driver which didn't help. I've reset CMOS and put in my values again (all stock). Didn't work.

Now when the PC hangs i can't do anything and pressing numlock on the keyboard won't activate numlock so a complete system hang.

I'm thinking maybe my PSU is having trouble as all temperatures are well within specs (GPU 30c and CPU 30c @ Idle).

My PSU is quite old it's an Corsair TX750 which i've had since 2008 i think. It has to power the following components.

All at stock

GTX 580
2600k
8gb ddr3 1600 ram
GA-P67a-UD7
2x 2TB Samsung HDD
1x 180GB SSD
1x 1.5TB WD Black
4x Scythe Gentle Typhoon
1x water Pump
1x DVD writer

Any ideas?

3 years is old for a psu? Damn I thought my 2007 corsair hx650 had a few years left in it...

No, it's not really that old. If you bought one of the original Antec TruePower 480's back in like 2002, then yeah that would be old (but still usable). TX's haven't been around long enough to be "old".
