Screen flickers black while playing some games

I just built a new system with everything new but a used 1080 ti and it's been great so far, but sometimes while playing Battlefront 2 for a while the screen starts to go black for a split second back and forth and it doesn't stop. The system has all the latest drivers and windows updates. The system is running on a 750 watt power supply. What could be causing it?

Connected via HDMI? Try a new cable, or possibly a more expensive branded one (but honestly, just another generic one that's actually rated for 4K60 UHD would probably suffice. $2 at Newegg when they have a sale, which is like every two weeks or sooner).

I could send you one.

my system does exactly the same, on my 1070.i have tried every thing but changing the cable. will try that now.

Try a new cable, i find when hdmi cables fail they either do black flickers, or white dots all over the screen.

Have you tried some older driver? GeForce 417.xx are bugged as hell :/
