Screen flicker with Microsoft Word- any ideas?

New laptop- Pentium 750 processor, Mobile Intel 915GM Express chipset, integrated graphics- embedded Intel 915GM 128MB VRAM, XP Pro operating system- everything works beautifully EXCEPT the screen flickers slightly every 30 sec. or so when using Word. Other programs, such as OneNote work fine. Already did an uninstall of Office and a reinstall. It does it in all three views, and whether typing or not. Anyone encounter this before- have any thoughts?
