Today I had an RMA'ed Radeon 5870 return to me. I'd been using a 5770 in the mean time.
On swapping the cards, a problem emerged. I use a dual monitor setup. The second monitor began to get horizontal tearing issues, mostly at the bottom of the screen. It cuts across the entire bottom of the screen.
It happens when I'm scrolling up and down a web page and it's happening right now as I type. The whole bottom 10% of the screen is flashing like mad. When I stop typing, the problem stops.
I thought it was the monitor and replaced it, but it's not the monitor. I checked the cables by swapping them, no dice. And I switched ports. So at this point, it means I got a bum card, unless you all think otherwise.
Using the latest Radeon drivers. It's a Core i7-860, WIn7-64, 16GB of memory.
