Screen error after downloading any .exe

Something in the past month has started happening to my pc that usually doesn?t happen and now i could use help.

So far any .exe that i download i get an error when i try to execute it.
It says
'the programs name.exe - Entry Point Not Found'

then in the middle box

"The procedure entry point WaitForSingleObjec! could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll"

Either kernel32.dll is corrupt or all of the executables you've been downloadeing are corrupt. The latter is more likely and can easily be tested with any site that stores md5sums of their files for you to verify.

well for example i just downloaded 2 different .exe both from the same website. @ here {although realy both came from Download.com}
the progam Crazytalk didnt work but the program iClone did work. (again this is just a same example of programs. i do remember i couldnt even get winzip to install)


How do i check to see if the KERNEL32.dll is corrupt.??

I would bet that if kernel32.dll was corrupt you'd have a lot more issues than you have now, so I'd start looking at your NIC and it's drivers.
