I need something to take a screen shot in Windows (not in games) because alt+prt scrn doesn't work. I tried FRAPS but that only works in games. Any ideas?
 
are you sure printscreen doesn't work? You don't always need to push alt before it. For instance on my latest keyboard its just push the printscreen button provided that the F-Lock keys are on(normal functions)
 
The reason why alt+print scrn doesn't work is because that isn't right. Just punch Print scrn without hitting alt. Then go into mspaint or something program and hit paste.
