Screen capture/print screen on a mac?

I am using a windows keyboard. if I press print screen is the pic stored anywhere?

Shift + CMd + 4 for selection mode, (space to toggle to window mode)

Images will be saved on your desktop.

There is also the included Grab utility that you can use if you want.

Then the windows key is the command button. (you can switch it around in keyboard settings)

Same thing. My macbooks key is marked with the '⌘' and says "command" right below it. Older keyboards also had the '' (outlined, not solid) symbol on them.

At different times, and in different manuals, it's called the apple, cloverleaf, command, or open-apple.

I'm just hoping some day we'll cut down on the number of different things people (informed and otherwise) call USB Flash drives.

I used to use Grab, which spits out TIFFs.

Now I use Preview which outputs JPEGs.
