Screen brightness on EEE netbook

Hi,
I just ordered http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16834220441
and some folks in the reviews state the screen isn't all that bright. I am assuming that they are running the thing on battery power. I've seen other notebooks where you can go into the bios and adjust the screen brightness while running on battery. Is there a similar setting present in this Asus netbook?

Also, another question, are there higher capacity batteries available for these things then what comes with this model?

Thanks

the one you linked has a 4 cell battery. some come with 6, and i think you can buy a 9 cell from online (but it sticks out a bit)

theres also some models with led backlighting, which is suppose to be brighter and use less juice than ccfl tubes

My Eee PC 1000HA can get to be very bright at the maximum setting. It has an LED backlight.

Like most any other laptop, I can adjust the brightness with the special function keys (eg. Fn + F6 increase the brightness).

Like he says, there are FN keys to adjust brightness.
